The photo had to reflect the theme "The Year of Biodiversity". Dalgarno's photo, shown here, is called The Water's Edge. Dalgarno, 14, graduated from Pilgrim Wood School this June. According to his family, he is a young nature enthusiast, avid birder and has now expanded his artistic talents with photography. The Robert Bateman Get to Know Contest is an annual art, writing and digital photography contest for youths focused on nature and wildlife.
