B o r n i n G l a s g o w, S c o t l a n d , Isabel's love of life and devotion to her family and friends was evident to ever yone who knew her. Sur vived by her loving partner and constant companion for the past 24 years, Robert (Bob) Kocsis. Isabel will be sadly missed and forever cherished by her sons, Steven and James, and daughter-in-law Kim. Obituaries Anniversary Happy 65th Wedding Anniversary Kit & George Bowes CAMERON, Anne- Anne Gertrude Cameron nee McInnis, precious wife of Joseph Cameron for 59 years, has passed. Anne was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia November 8th, 1924. She was the eldest daughter of Alec and Maude McInnis. She is pre-deceased by her siblings; Charlie, Shea, Marie and Eugene. Anne is survived by her sisters Tillie, Frances, Winnie and Isabelle. Anne and Joseph were married in 1949 and moved to Ontario in 1958 settling in Oakville. Anne worked at Sacco Fuels (later BP) as a book keeper while raising her children. Anne loved to garden and cook. Casseroles of any kind were her specialty and her pistachio squares disappeared in minutes. She loved her husband, her family, her home and her friends. Anne was devoted to her church and believed steadfastly in the power of prayer. Anne leaves behind her four children; Jo Ann, Frances Lynn (husband Robert Marit) Alan Joseph and Kathryn Mary (husband John Karcz) as well as grand children Rob Witten (wife Lisa), Marie Brown, Meaghan Heffernan (husband Gregory), Andrew Marit (wife Elisabeth), Kathleen Marit, Fraser Marit, Joe Cameron, John Cameron and Ana Karcz. She also leaves behind her great grandchildren; Abigail, Owen, Isaac, Ben, Meaghan, Sam, Isabelle and Christian. STEPHENS, Eunice Hannah (nee Davies)- June 13, 1925 - June 6, 2009. After a long and rewarding life, Eunice passed away quietly on June 6, 2009. Eunice spent almost 50 years married to W. Ray Stephens (predeceased) and will be remembered lovingly by her two sons David James Stephens and Glyn Raymond Stephens, along with her daughters-inlaw, Debbie and Katherine, her grandc h i l d r e n , L i n d s a y, E r y n , D e v o n a n d Ta y l o r. The family then relocated to Toronto where she met Ray who was the love of her life. Eunice had a love for the theatre, especially musicals. She could probably sing every song in every musical. One place that was always special to Eunice was the cottage in Gravenhurst. There she spent every summer for the past 55 years with family and friends. People were always welcome to drop by and have a chat with "Eunie", take a dip in the lake or join her in a game of cards. Wonder ful memories were had there and she will rest comfortably with her spirit still in the Muskokas. On Sunday, to mark the occasion, a family gathering was held at the Glenn Erin Inn, Mississauga, with members coming from Vancouver, Winnipeg, Montreal and locally. In 1939 Kit and George met at the Angus School of Commerce in Winnipeg, Manitoba, where they were married in 1944 following George's return from overseas WWII service with the RCAF. In 1945, George rejoined his pre-war employer, Trans Canada Airlines, where he became a Flight Dispatcher, and in 1983 he retired from the position of Manager, Air Canada Operations Control in Dorval Quebec. During the War, Kit was employed by The Great-West Life Assurance Company. After the war she became a home maker, raising their two children, Barry and Laurie. In 1972, with children grown up, Kit returned to work as a public school teacher in Lachine Quebec. During their 33 years living in Lachine, Kit and George were avid curlers, and both served as president of the mens' or ladies' Lachine Curling Clubs. Kit and George moved to Oakville Ontario in 1983, where they became members of The Oakville Curling and Lawn Bowling Clubs, did volunteer work, and are frequent bridge players. They have three adult grandchildren, Michael Cochrane, a n d M e l a n i e a n d Christopher Bowes, who have benefited from the considerable amount of love and attention their Grand Parents have given them over the years.
