About 40 adults and children will be sworn in as new citizens during the ceremony, which will be performed by Citizenship and Immigration Canada, at the library's Central branch auditorium in the presence of Oakville Mayor Rob Burton and Oakville Public Library CEO Lori Sims. The ceremony, which is being done in partnership with Halton's Multicultural Council, will begin at 1:30 p.m. The event also serves as a kick off to the library's new Welcome to Canada areas.
