WHITE OAKS: This photograph was taken during a workshop with Oakville Galleries and the Futures Program at White Oaks Secondary School on Feb. 14. Futures offers students with mild intellectual or physical disabilities a variety of subjects modified to suit individual needs.The students in the photo are from the Entrepreneurial Studies class and are responding through artistic expression, on the theme What We Bring To The Table. They are making a banquet table for their classroom, printing a tablecloth and creating dishes and cutlery out of paper and wire. It was great for the students to participate in the session led by Monique MacLeod from Oakville Galleries. -- What do you bring to the table? is a continuing series of photos submitted to Oakville Galleries to run in conjunction with its current exhibit What We Bring to the Table in Gairloch Gardens until June 6. The exhibit features art by artists Laura Letinsky,Bettina Hoffmann,Patrick Faigenbaum and Instant Coffee. April 10th at the Oakville Club. Order tickets online or at the Downtown Oakville BIA office. Tickets are $75. Proceeds will be used to fund the priority needs of Oakville-Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, including the purchase of vital equipment for the Maternal Child program.
