It's celebrating with a 100th anniversary reunion May 22-25. Registration for the event is already underway. The reunion registration fee is $45. Other anniversary events are individually priced to allow maximum flexibility for attendance. The reunion will kick off on Thursday, May 22 with Career Day presentations featuring alumni speakers. Registration packages can also be picked up from 3-5 p.m. A Staff Social will take place from 4-7 p.m. at The Oakville Curling Club and a coffee house jam starting at 7 p.m. at Monaghan's Sports Pub & Grill. On Friday, May 23, there will be a golf tournament and each decade will host a dinner/dance for alumni -- pre-1950s through to the classes of 2000 and more. Registration packages can be picked up from 9 a.m. 6 p.m. at OTHS. The golf tournament will have an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start at Royal Ontario and Lionhead Golf Courses. The fee is $100 and includes 18 holes and a cart. Old Timers' games will also take place throughout the day. The decade parties will be $60/person ($20 for those pre-1950s) and will take place at various venues including The Oakville Club, the Operating Engineers Banquet Hall, Oakville Conference Centre, Burlington Convention Centre, and Mississauga Convention Centre. On Saturday, May 24, there will be opening ceremonies and a barbecue at OTHS followed by a downtown Lakeshore Road street party in the evening. From 9:30 a.m.-4 p.m., Decade Rooms will be open at OTHS for a check of memorabilia, an Arisans' Market will also operate at the school and dignitaries will be on hand for an official opening of the reunion at 11 a.m. at OTHS. A barbecue and children's activities will take place from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. as old timers' games continue. There will also be an opportunity to meet past and present teachers from 1-3 p.m. and a theatre presentation at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. at the school. Downtown Lakeshore Road will be closed for a street party from 7-11:30 p.m. The reunion will wrap up Sunday, May 25 with a pancake breakfast and closing ceremonies.
