The Red Devils compiled 628 points, ranking behind only Georgetown's total of 975. Iroquois Ridge tied with Notre Dame for third, both collecting 480 points. Abbey Park was 10th (177 points), White Oaks placed 11th (169), Holy Trinity came 14th (105), T.A. Blakelock was 15th (58) and St. Thomas Aquinas finished 17th (31). In individual action, local gold medalists included OT's Karina Sils, Veronica Davis-Freeman, Rachel Petford and Jennifer Wilson, Iroquois Ridge's Kent Kikot, Mack Darragh, Chris Cairn and Carolyn Antonsen, and Abbey Park's Ali Smith. OT's girls' open 200-metre medley relay team of Katie Fox, Wilson, Petford and Veronica-Davis Freeman won gold, as did the Iroquois Ridge boys' 400m freestyle relay open squad of Sung Kyu Byun, John Steadman, Kikot and Darragh. The top 14 finishers in each event earned a spot in today's Golden Horseshoe Athletic Conference championships, also at McMaster. Rangers win, lose at major tournament The Oakville peewee AAA Rangers split their first two games at the Quebec Major Peewee Tournament. Oakville blanked the St. Louis Blues 5-0 in its opening game.
