The minor atom AA Rangers defeated the Mississauga North Stars 3-1 and blanked the Mississauga Hornets 5-0. Liam Codderre had two goals for Oakville against the Hornets and Alex Montague, Jacob Patriquin and Timothy Gibson added singles; scoring details from the game against the North Stars were unavailable. Oakville's minor peewee AE squad edged Burlington 5-4 and blanked Agincourt 4-0. Daniel Cubric recorded a hat trick against Burlington, with Colin Song and Steven Farano also scoring. Oakville's minor atom A team fell 5-4 to Meadowvale and the local minor peewee AA squad was edged 3-2 by the Mississauga Braves in other early action. The tournament continues today and concludes Sunday at rinks throughout the town.
