the position of principal came as no surprise to john nikifork the 43- yearold woodbridge high school vice- principal had no idea hed be coming to stouff- ville hell take over the principals post at sdss in september succeeding michael muir mr muirs been appointed principal at don head secondary school richmond hill i was hopeful of a promotion mr niki fork told the tribune but i didnt know to what school im pleased its stouffville originally from leamington mr niki fork graduated from high school there then went on to the university of western ontario at london where he ma jored in german and en glish his first teaching position was at brighton where he remained two years at royal york collegi ate etobicoke he was assistant head of the geography depart ment after two years he moved on to queens- borough jr high north york and then accepted a position as geography head at newmarket high school prior to taking over the vice- principals post at wood- bridge he held a similar position at bay view ss remaining there nine years mr nikifork is keenly interested in sports par ticularly basketball softball and baseball more recently hes be come involved with track and field although acquainted with the semester sys tem he has no immedi ate plan to introduce this program to sdss id want to assess all situa tions first he said mentioning specifically the administration the staff
