have full con trol of the products they pro duce producers should control the setting of quotas and would have to be prepared to finance this project in advance be cause we would need very good legal and financial talent the panel felt that all this could be done but we must have strong organization and also that surpluses of food should be classed as a national asset mr mccarthy summed up the panel discussion with the fol lowing statement we must have more faith in our farm leaders and back them up in the decisions they make we must stop discussing things that are not practical in our own genera tion we must lower our sights and hit some of the things we aim at i among the resolutions passed at the meeting was a resolution requesting that farm truck i licences be placed back at their previous rate another resolution was that if oil lines are going to be subsi dized agricultural products should receive more support a third resolution was where as it is not known that ontario federation of agriculture has promoted and organized many coops and commodity groups that have been of great assist ance to- farmers resolved that the federation name be more closely associated with these organizations some people waste a great deal of their time making large i amounts of money they dont i need or know what to do with etfee with the written guarantee msit twbni why gamble
