the pontiacs sudden elimination at the hands of the kingston goody ears after a brilliant start has left the fans some what puzzled the president of the orillia club derlyn valley blamed the loss on schedule what about senior hockey in stouffville the situation here is not at all rosy the loss to orillia in the group finals was a hard pill to swallow and although wo havent seen any figures on the teams financial standing we dont believe the clubs coffers will be overflowing it has been said that a senior hockey team cannot hope to get on the right side of the ledger unless it wins its own group and moves into the provincial playoffs and such a state ment appears to be correct in a four team group three will drop out and one will move on which in a literal sense means that three clubs will go in the red and one will be financially sound its quite a gamble stouffville teams have been quite fortunate in the past few years local bowling groups in playoff contests three of the four
