he hasnt seen for thirtyeight years the three men expect to return in a couple of weeks the local cemetery commis sion has asked us to draw at- teation to the fact that prose cution will follow the robinson dies at local hospital mr eugene robinson a resi dent of markham village pass ed away at stouffville brier- bush hospital on saturday march 19 1955 mr robinson had been ill for two weeks preceding his death due to a stroke born in markham in the year 1ss3 he farmed just outside markham village during his entire lifetime he is survived by his widow xellie beierl and daughter beryl of toronto and son eugene at home de ceased was a son of mr and mrs george and mary robin son of markham and was in his 2nd year mr robinson held the posi tion of chairman of the public school board in markham for ten years the funeral was held monday march 21 at 230 pm pallbearers were alex reesor jack torrance roy crosby noel pierce jack whithouse and russel grove rev mc- killican conducted the service interment was made at st an drews presbyterian cemetery in markham mr george timbers and mr carl timbers stouffville were among approximately 300 farm ers from the province of on tario who visited the purina research farm at gray sum mit missouri recently and spent one day going through the companys mills and re search laboratories in st louis this was a special train which was known as the purina so cial and they spent one night in detroit enroute 2 nights in st louis and then stayed over night in chicago on the way back up to 15000 farmers from all over the united states and canada as well as many from foreign countries visit this large research farm each year to see the results of experi ments conducted there in the feeding and management of grade livestock and poultry this hotchkls was held at the home of mrs belfry hamilton on thursday evening of last week about forty friends were in at tendance mrs hamilton was assisted by miss barbara corps of toronto the stouffville provincial po lice are asking local motorists to take extra precautious when following the fire engine out of town too many drivers make a practice of following only a few feet behind the engine and a newmarket cemetery on tuesday of this week of the late harry l crawford sales man of toronto and a son of the late mr and mrs william crawford brother of jack crawford clerk of whitchurch twp and mrs fred avis of the same municipality the de ceased was born in king twp but spent his early years in whitchurch he was a veteran of world war i when he went overseas with the 127th york county regiment
