grade 12 and 13 will be allowed in to all dances and parties other suggestions were given but more of that later pretty soon a girls basket ball team will be organized and nearby high schools will compete more news of this next week when i will have more facts folks are more friendly dom i a famous poet once wrote that theres a heap o difference between a house and a home one is just a building whils the other is a warm friendly place where you know youre always welcome people make that wonderful difference theres a heap o difference in stores too some are just buildings but dominion is a warm friendly place where cheerful smiles and courteous assistance always make you feel welcome from where you take a shopping buggy right through the store and out with a helpful carryout boy dominion people make a wonderful difference in your shop ping pleasure no wonder everybody says folks are more friendly at dominion breakfast bacon lb 4 golden yellow pipe bananas special 2 lbs 35 police force was decided at a fin al meeting of county coun cil held in newmarket last week on a recommendation of the special administration of justice committee chaired by reeve j o dales newmarket council decided to continue the county force of 1g members in its present capacity until dec 31 1055 the fate of the force has been under discussion for some time last year a temporary ar rangement was made to con tinue the force during 1954 and since then the discontinuance of it has been considered ser iously the full cost of maintaining the force will be met by the attorney generals department of ontario with the exception of the costs involved in polic ing the magistrates court at newmarket before the metropolitan area was established the county paid the full cost of operating the force when the county was split by bill so the attor ney generals department asked that the county force be main tained to serve the couru of the metro area municipalities as well as those of the contin uing county in 1931 the province tempor arily bore the major portion of the burden until some definite line of action could be adopted by the continuing county it cost sgsoqo to maintain the force in 1951 a pension plan for the pres ent members of the force and for those who served prior to the division of the county is receiving further study by the county this will bring a uniformity of cost distribution to all the areas now served by the coun ty force births turpi n mr and mr alan turpin happily announce the birth of a son douglas wayne at the grace hospital toros to dec 24 i954
