arena on thursday night it marked the second win for unionville over the home town squad the contest was a goaltend- ers battle until the third pe riod when the visitors qytscor- ed the locals four to one net- minder bruce middleton of the red wings turned in a fine per formance despite a couple of fluke shots that slipped past him although stouftville had their share of the play they didnt take advantage of their many scoring chances inside the unionville blueline the jets final goal was dumped in to an empty net as coach polly minton elected to pull middle- ton from the nets and replace him with an extra forward mcdowell grabbed a loose puck in front of his own goal and lobbed it down the ice for unionvilles fifth tally the jets opened the scoring at 523 of the first period when left
