gloria hood left and ma rie schell right the queen was officially crown ed by mr w f sherwood popular member of high school staff community shocked by death of alfred mole this community was gripped with shock early saturday eve ning when word spread throughout the downtown area of the extremely sudden and tragic passing of one of our best known young business men mr alfred mole mr mole was about his business as usual at his large general mo tors establishment in the west end and was in conversation with one of his salesmen when he was suddenly stricken and died ahvst instantly with cor onary thrombosis dr john button was summoned imme diately but was powerless to aid the stricken man mr mole had been in apparent good health and his many friends and business associates in town could scarcely believe that he had been taken so quickly the late alfred mole was born in ashburn fortyfour years ago a son of the late george mole he received his education in claremonl and here engaged in business he later transferred his residence to brampton where he conduct ed an automobile sales busi ness and came to stouffville in 1m3 here he nas establish ed a large general motors agency business which he had been continually enlarging and mproving for the comparatively short eriod in which he conducted msiness here few local men erc better known and the name of mole motors limited nb very familiar throughout a wide area mr mole was a persistent worker for the busi ness advancement of the com munity and his genial disposi tion and understanding won him a wide circle of friends he was a member of the stouff ville lions club and took an active part in the local cham ber of commerce he was also member of the brougham union masonic lodge and was associated with the stouffville united church only last fall he was named as a member of stouirvilles first planning board where he served as vice chairman in 1012 alfred mole married ethel anderson of brampton who survives him along with four small children three sons rodger robert and randy and a daughter melodee ann also surviving are two brothels ir win of ashburn and clifford of lansing and one sister hazel mrs john bow of oshawa morning mr harold armitage passed away suddenly at his home on the 0th concession of markham it was slightly more than one month ago that the markham twp couple celebrated their fiftieth wedding anniversary he is survived by his wife the former minnie waldon and two brothers ross of pine grove and william of newmarket the late mr armitage was a skilled mechanic and for seven years was
