uxbridge end whitby detachments of the opp devoted a good deal of time thursday night to a search for a 1949modei auto with a bullet hole in a rear fender officers at the uxbridge de tachment said this morning that the auto contained two young lovers they discounted the suggestion thit the auto had anything to do with the abduction of a young scarboro township girl police in a patrol car fired at the car after it failed to stop on a concession road eight miles south of uxbridge the car was sighted parked near a barn but when klice signalled the driver they wanted to question him he swung the car onto the road and headed north the patrol car gave chase but lost the car on a country road by resolution on tuesday afternoon at their statutory meeting whitchurch council turned down an application for license from she mussel- mans lake bowling alley op erated by george yillemere the new bowling alley at mus- selmans iike has been erect ed and is now operating under protect by boards duty to trj and arrange the proper bai ance between home and indu trial expansion local men go after big ones in north country two hospitalized after crash at island lake mr and mrs ronald wagg rr 3 stouffville were admit ted to the stouffville brier- bush hospital on wednesday morning for treatment follow ing an accident with a gravel truck near island lake mr wagg was knocked uncon- cious and is still under obser vation mrs wagg was treat ed for face and head lacera tions but was allowed to re turn home the couple were just returning from driving their children to school when the
