joseph wideman of castor alberta joseph wideman is a brother of herb and wesley wideman on the sth con and he went home- steading to the west over for ty years ago we reprint here an account of mervin wide- mans passing as taken from the castor advance the community was sadden ed to learn of the sudden pas sing last week of mervin m wideman following a severe attack of poliomyelitis he be came ill on thursday july 23 but was still able to drive his own car into town the next day for medical aid however his condition became progres sively worse and on sunday evening was taken to edmon ton under oxygen for special treatment late tuesday after noon he lost consciousness from which he never recover ed he passed away quietly on tuesday evening at the age of 32 years he was bom on feb 2nd 19- 21 the son of mr and mrs joseph wideman of castor at the time of his passing he far med in the castor district he leaves to mourn his par ents two brothers harvey oi bergen alta and allan of berrymoor alta also other relatives and many friends one sister predeceased him in 1946 he gave his heart to the lord when nine years old his christian life was a blessing to all who knew him funeral services
