trucks a patronage dividend of 5c per can was declared and the balance transferred to general reserve the treasurer reported that the first dividend certificates of those issued last year have already been redeemed in cash further that the coop is now completely free from debt having paid off a total of s3s00 during the year on january 1st the coop lost six members who were shut off by the dairies because they shipped less than 200 lbs milk per day last september october and novem ber although the milk control board at a hearing on feb 3rd ordered the reinstatement of all those producers who averaged km lbs per clay during the throe months the dairies so far have not complied with this order alan lishman henry westney and ted coates were reelected as directors the coop bylaws pro vide for a rotating board of direc tors the meeting discussed the ques tions of a milk advertising cam paign carried out jointly by farm ers dairies and truckers member ship in the automotive transport education problem for a number of school age children who are boarding at his home at the pre sent lime a brother mr stuart watts also operates a boarding house in the district glasgow school is the only place that will be able to accom modate these extra students from now until june exclaimed board member wm hewlett the fifth line school which is situated near the watts house has fortysix enrolled and the school in the town of uxbridge is crowded the law says that a child must be educated until he is sixteen years old but the law doesnt say where replied mr watts the parents of these upstairs window to see a large buck deer come bounding through the orchard and across the lawn only a few feet from the residence hot on the heels of the terrified animal were two large wolves grenville austin rushed outside with his rifle accompanied by his younger brother warner and although they tired numerous shots at the wolves the bullets failed to find their target the deer raced down the railroad track to the 9th con cession where it disappeared from view the injured animal left a prominent trail of blood on the snow and it is thought that the wounds were caused by the attacking wolves who could be seen leaping at the throat of the fleeing deer the austin brothers have seen numerous deer in the neighborhood but it is the first time they have seen wolves in the
