on wednesday evening jan 28 there were in attendance staff representatives from twentyseven nurseries as well as parent repre sentation from nineteen nursery schools miss isobel cleland president in opening welcome explained that parent education committee had planned this meeting specific ally for the nursery school parent she said their interest starting with the child naturally extended to the home and parent that they might better help carry on in the outside world what goes on in the home particularly with regard to the child at nursery school she then introduced miss dorothy millichamp asst director insti tute of child study miss millichamp gave a brief summary from the days of the early thirties in the field of nurs ery education and specially wel comed mrs neil smith as one of the early pioneers in that sphere with school representatives parents and specialists present it was possible to discuss several problems miss millichamp intro duced mrs gordon bolton who last year addressed the interested mothers of stouifville under the auspices of our local nursery school mrs bolton posed one or two questions which parents had submitted to the parent education committee on which there was group discussion then with miss millichamp taking the place of the child a panel was set up consist ing of a mother of a dayxurserv child a mother of a morning- nursery child a teacher and a teachermother groups of six oi eight formed framed a problem question which was answered along with interrelating ones interest ran so high time did not suffice to take care of all ques- tions
