hydro system con tinues to grow and secretary geo storey reports that six additional transformers are scheduled to go up at various locations just as soon as workmen with the heavy erecting equipment are available thirtykight for family gathering on saturday dec 27th the home of mr and mrs clifford winger of gormley was the scene of a happy holiday gathering when bishop and mrs alvin win ger and their entire family of 38 including 25 grandchildren sat down to a bounteous holiday meal the large farm house was beauti fully decorated for the holiday the young folks enjoyed them selves skating called out on saturday night near the supper hour when an accumulation of oil in the united church furnace failed to ignite at the proper time and suddenly exploded and caught fire fortu nately the day congratulations are due miss beulah rutledge who has recently graduated as a stewardess in the american airlines after being presented with a beautful bulova wrist watch beulah began her fly ing career by supervising passen gers on a nonstop flight from chicago to los angeles in a beauti ful american airlines luxury liner although her flying duties will carry her to many parts of the us we have no doubt that none will surpass that first flight in thrills and excitement beulah is very grateful for the interest and kindness shown by her many friends in stouffville and they in turn wish
