senior hockey schedule vhich ends on march 4th the clippers will be accommo dated at the hotel following their game in minden this friday night returning on saturday in readi- inefe for their tilt with orillia on saturday night a meeting will be held shortly to arrange a possible playoff series between the winner of the four local intermediate leagues namely stouffvihe newmarket aurora and xobleton it nas been suggest ed that a roundrobin contest to decide a district champion would prove a good drawing card the brougham intermediate hockey team played their tirst semifinal game with brooklin and defeated their rivals by a score of 73 in a good clean game this was the fiftt in a best- three out of five series to be played on tuesdays and fridays until finished the winners will play markham for the league championship the winners of the brougham and brooklin series will continue on in the ontario playdowns as intermediate a and the losers will be classed as intermediate r of the orha markham will continue on as a senior entry westmount and prestonville the two bottom teams in the league have been eliminated orillia terriers here satday nite this is a change from original schedule on saturday night orillia ter riers will be the visitors to the stouffvihe arena according to an oha ruling handed down last week the clippers were schedul ed to play at orillia but this has since been changed the terriers are the team that stouffvihe must defeat in order that they might continue in the senior b play offs in their quest of the cham pionship in the last meeting be tween the two clubs the orillia squad eked out a 76 decision in overtime in one of the most thrill ing contests this season since the last meeting here the orillia team have strengthened their lineup with two new players who played a big part in the their teams vic tory a couple of weeks ago spitfires grab overtime win orillia terriers dropped an over time decision to newmarket spit- flyers shaded by clippers 65 the local clippers scored their second win in three nights over midland fivers as thev edged their rivals g5 on thursday night of lat week it tooken minutes of overtime to turn the trick as the flyers put up a determined battle to keep in the playoff run ning nck bangay set the scoring pace for the clippers with tlje bat- trick while jack watson ronnie bel and jack rumney notched the other local tallies the clippers were shorthanded at game time due to injuries sus tained to george stark a couple of nights previous and with playing coach bob bangay and defence- man motley peteh
