winterstein cook passes in hospital in 86th year mr and mrs joseph d winter- stein and mr and mrs ross winterstein were in toronto recently to attend the funeral of their aunt mrs esther cook mrs cook who was eightyfive years of age fell in her home fraoturing her hip and was removed to the toronto general hospital where she passed away mrs cook was the former esther winterstein the youngest of eight children born to the late joseph winterstein and jemima wesley pioneer farmers of scott township she was united in marriage with david cook who predeceased her fiftyeight years ago she is survived by two sons wilmot and norman both of tor onto and six grandchildren interment was made in zephyr cemetery old beloved hymns and a christ mas athem oh holy night after which there were solos of stouffville and rev john totten of rich mond hill performed the cere mony rev totten officiated for the brides parents at the time of their marriage mrs chas nolan was organist and mrs harold spofford was soloist the bride was gowned in ivory brocaded satin and carried a white bible with an orchid and a cascade of roses her bridesmaids were misses marguerite grubin and margaret fleury sister of the bride they wore yellow and bronze silk with nylon overdrapes trimmed with lace and carried matching muffs with holly sharon fleury niece of the bride was flower girl and was dressed in pink taffeta and carried a colonial bouquet of sweet peas and roses albert turner of kingston was best man and the ushers were jack warriner and sam malick for receiving guests at the reception in the church parlours the brides mother wore a green ensemble with a corsage of red roses and was assisted by the grooms mother who was dressed in gray with pink trim and pink roses for travelling the bride wore navy blue faille and gray coat with mouton trim mr and mrs dixon will live in kingston for a short time then will move to the west balsam and mount zion the following officers were elected for
