brillinger mr and mrs john williamson of markham were also yuletide visitors at the bril linger home funeral service was held at le oneills funeral chapel for the late albert e hoover who passed away recently at the york county hospital where lie was a patient for nearly three weeks the late mr hoover had been in failing health for about three years he was a lifelong resident of whit church township and leaves to mourn his loss a wife three sons ernest walter and eddie and four daughters mrs j white newmarket mrs h rosenbacher hamilton mrs stan gilbert 6th coii and mrs wm jordon mt allien also a brother fred of newmarket and a sister mrs minnie brillinger stouffville the funeral was conducted by rev l k sider united missionary church gormley and interment was made at lemonville cemetery stouf f vie hydro changeover completed stouffville another york county municipality was changed over from 25 to gocycle service during the week of december is initial cutovers were made on dec 12 this was announced by com mission chairman robert h saunders who stated that approx imately goo customers of all classes served by the stouffville light and water committee had their frequency sensitive electrical appliances and equipment changed over for operation on the new cycle there are an estimated 480 domestic 110 commercial and 10 industrial customers in stouffville and the load is about 600 kilowatts on die morning of cutover day the 25cycle power serving the customers in a section to be chang ed over was switched off while off hydro technicians called on the various customers and made sure that all frequency sensitive appliances were disconnected after this was done the power was reconnected at 60cycle in most cases the power was disconnected for a period of less than one hour the work of adjusting the appli ances for gocycle operation fol lowed and usually was done right in the home but occasionally it was necessary to remove certain appliances to one of the mobile workshops in the vicinity to make these alterations i mr and mrs h w moyer narrowly escaped serious trouble one day last week when gas escap ing from their refrigerator made them quite ill and might have had more serious results trouble from another source was encountered in the new geo walsh house on orchard blvd where the oil fur nace exploded and sent greasy fumes all through the new home
