cordially invited a bible study praise and prayer meeting will be held each thurs day evening commencing at 730 in the united sunday school room all sunday school teachers and officers and everyone interested in the work of the church are very earnestly asked to try and become a regular attendant the annual church meeting will be held in the united sunday school room on monday jan 9th commencing with a pot luck supper everyone is asked to con tribute with some article of food and attend the meeting afterwards we regret the accident that recently happened to mr b mitter- trimer when he fell residents of the district and very well known until two months ago mr dingman was rural mail carrier on whitby route no 2 he retired at the end of november mr and mrs dingman have two sons roy of brooklin and earl of oshawa mrs dingman in the for mer phoebe victoria madill daugh ter of the late mr and mrs james h madill of pickering township rev a white baptist minister of mrs isabell carter dies following lengthy illness following a lingering illness mrs isabell carter widow of the late joseph carter passed away at her home on the 5th concession of pickering near whitevale on fri day dec 30th the late mrs carter was born in uxbridge seventy- eight years ago and married the late joseph carter in 1889 the couple has farmed in pickering township up until mr carters death six years ago deceased was identified with the whitevale united church and her family pastor rev mclachlan conducted the funeral service from the residence on sunday jan 1st pallbearers were messrs frank carter roy carter howard forsyth gordon hodgson george tool and albert seebeck inter ment was made in the whitevale cemetery surviving is one son oscar at home and a daughter mrs walter hamilton brougham a
