protested vigorously the hearing by the ontario municipal board scheduled for tuesday of this week at broug ham was cancelled last weekend when central mortgage and hous ing corporation withdrew their application for an improvement area surrounding ajax farmers in the area marked for inclusion in the improvement block have objected strenuously to the move and whether this objec tion influenced the mortgage corp in their withdrawal is not known now that the application has been withdrawn the village of ajax still has two courses open to it it can remain under the control of central mortgage and housing or it can come under the control of the township of pickering during the hearings of the application for an improvement area the town ship went on record as being interested in ceding only
