pleased to see mrs luft- man out again after her recent illness council meets members of municipal board two members of the ontario municipal board met with picker ing township councillors on fri day to talk over the proposed enlarged ajax area the question of pickering village being incor porated into the ajax area was discussed the logical division of the township as it appears to coun cil members would be across the entire municipality from east to west on a line between the second and third concessions however the poorer area which lies west and south of pickering is not acceptable to ajax nor did it appear to be a favorable solution to the municipal experts the local planning board favours the township purchasing land and endeavoring to brin more industry into the area just west of ajax another meeting of all interest ed parties will be scheduled again soon born at dickson hill in 1864 mrs barrett died in toronto in poor health since last july mary margaret dickson beloved
