endeavour to have one adult leader for every ten campers this camp is operated under the direction of the ontario religious education council and is interdenominational in the 16 years it has been in operation there has been no major casualty camp dates are junior boys age 9 to 11 june 27 to july 1 boys age 12 years and up july 4 to 14 junior girls age 10 and 11 july 15 to 22 girls age 12 to 14 friday evening by the parents and scholars of stouffville public school the program was staged on the front lawn from a large plat form decorated with apple blossoms little june smith a pupil of miss hosie made an efficient chairman and each number on the program seemed to mount with interest a mixed choir from grades iv and viii sang several selections and a rhythm band was developed out of grade 1 scholars the address of welcome by marie stover was well given then came a piano solo by joanne bodendistel followed by a cornet solo by an xpupil alice for syth songs were rendered by stu dents of grade 1 and an interesting address given by edna sanderson on the founding of stouffville pupils of grade ii rendered a com bination number in four parts and another xpupil gary lewis played an instrumental solo and other in strumental numbers came from helen paisley june smith and marion atkinson nancy barry provided an amusing speech entit led roller skating and sister grace spoke on
