day last week when he fell through an open door into the basement of the house a distance of eight feet strik ing his head on the cement floor the fall caused a slight concussion but no bones were broken he is now doing as well as can be ex pected mrs e carswell and little daugh ter lynda of oshawa met with a serious accident on saturday morn ing they were on their way to visit the formers parents mr and mrs walter hamilton and when about one and half miles south of the village on brock rd the door of the car in which they were riding flew open seeing the little girl falling out the mother tried to grasp her but in so doing both fell to pavement where they received severe cuts and bruises they were both rushed to oshawa hospital in a serious condition the 24th annual meeting of the citizens league and firemen was held in the fire hall on tuesday evening dec 3rd with a large and interested attendance the presi dent w slack thanked the com mittee for their support and wished
