attendance of all sections of the community old and young at the art display in the big spofford co store on friday and saturday of last week may well be regarded as indicating a strong local interest in the artistic also of appreciation of the talents and at tainments of the local artist miss phyllis klinck the exhibition con sisted of fifteen numbers compris ing oils and watercolors an equal number of sketches in pen or pencil and a group of large watercolors in still life from models the paint ings were originals representing familiar scenes in the home area or the picturesque highlands of the haliburton district the quality of presentation of these scenes drew very generally favorable comment from the many visitors we believe that exhibitions of this type havea strong cultural value within the community accordingly it is the hope that miss khnck may find it possible to make further such con tributions in the months and years ahead aeosaoooeexsooocwcoooooofidsosqoeooek eabuttox
