school chums mr and mrs wilson of toronto were sunday guests with mrs- t beer mrs t c brown is laid up with an attack of flue her many friends wish her a speedy recovery the friendly bible class held welcome them to our corner the much prized pet cow has left the davis family mourning its loss we believe a reward would be high if it could be returned mr and mrs r davis visited friends at norland the past week mr and mrs d davis from tor onto visited his parents mr and mrs r davis last week a party of young people are go ing to the states for a holiday if it happens to be the matrimonial state oshawa and bob deverell mayor of whitby gave the crowd at oshawa fair quite a thrill last week as they went to it in the invita tion log chopping contest placing their coats in the hands of their seconds the contestants spat on their hands and waited the signal from norman down presi dent of the fair the mayor of oshawa was lead ing for a time but one hefty stroke got him into trouble as he
