mrs esther palmer having made the long trip to attend the decoration service here on sun day ted tomlinson rcaf who has been stationed at mcleod sask was home visiting with his parents dr and mrs n f tomlinson during tho weekend ted has just been moved to a new station at hamilton where he is training to be an airgunner the children at webbs school in uxbridge township are deserving of highest praise for the fine quilt which the girls pieced last week at the home of mrs ross watson who kindly opened her home for the oc casion the ladies got the quilt ready and the girls went at it with determination and completed the patches so that the quilt could be handed over to the red cross the girls of the school who did the piec ing are doris and lillis whitty jean and jessie faulkner helen richard son and anna bell watson baptist church rev daniel deliv ered the address and was assisted in the service by rev kennedy the musical portion of the program was led by the united church choir presentation made to faithful sunday school worker mr harry found worker in the local baptist church sunday school for over forty years was presented with a fine electric reading lamp on thursday evening at the quarterly meeting of the church mrs found was presented with a ibed lamp mr edgar ward did the honors on be half ot the church and sunday school he being the superintendent a committee wed july it in the after noon mr kelly has represented muskokaontario in- the legislature since 1934 premier harry nixon will attend the convention and speak in support of mr kelly so far mr kelly has failed to give fair treatment to goodwood and the southern district in the matter of a tarvia road to link up with stouft- ville enroute to toronto the same interest he extended around uxbridge would have built the five miles of tarvia road that the people want to get to toronto over picnic off warden w rees says instead of allowing the 200 hon orarium paid to the warden annually and which mm he cemeteries in that part of the mun icipality council were heartily inj accord with the suggestion but reeve reesor stated that the biggest problem with doing anything at prei sent was that of lalior
