family to our community mr hisey is employed with george rodanz jfr louis brownsberger of this 3lace is a splendid example of good old pioneer stock although he is 81 years of age he did his own house- keeping this winter and didnt miss his meals eltherhe was born within the shadow of his present home for he first saw the light of day on the rodanz farms better known as the robert miller at our school this week mr and mrs wm malloy of stouffville were guests at dinner with mr and mrs fred mcnair on friday evening last our school attendance has increas ed as five young students started on monday morning in search of know ledge mr thompson of brazil will preach next sunday evening in al tona church- miss marjorle madill has returned from spending her easter holidays with her sister recently visiting with relatives we are sorry mrs eli lehman had the misfortune of falling in stouff ville on saturday night breaking a bone in her wrist the economic vegetable club entertained miss jean scott home economics coach of the department of agriculture at the home of mrs d crosier on tuesday afternoon last the executive of the red cross wish to extend their thanks for two lovely quilts pieced by miss mary jones and also supplying material to complete them we understand miss jones has been collecting this for some time to do her bit toward the war and it certainly is very much appreciated the salvage campaign for the red cross which is to be gathered in by the end of this month consists of as follows newspapers magazines scrap paper tires steel tin tanks baskets mixed metal
