of the early pioneer families of the cedar grove district mrs agnes sarah milroy burrows died on saturday at her home on the tenth line markham township she was s6 years of age for the past quarter of a century mrs burrows had resided in the markham district taking up resi dence there following the death of her husband born in 1s54 the daughter of the late james milroy celia anthony she spent her early life in cedar grove in 1ss1 she was married to jas burrows and ten years later the couple moved to scarboro township where they resided for nearly 25 years she is survived by two brothers e a girls mitts all new and some second hand clothing also 28 quilts the quilt committee have worked very hard and had a beautiful dis play of quilts as a result of many hours of work in cutting patches distributing blocks and arranging for the quillings which took place in our community hall the first one november 27th when 40 ladies met and quilted 7 quilts again on dec 5 when we quilted 5 quilts 4 were quilted in different homes 5 were pieced and quilted by mrs r stony and her class of girls linings and bats donated by the united s s taps were also pieced by mrs halls and mrs waggs classes of girls and mrs feasbys class of boys 5 tops were pieced by the baptist ss un der the leadership of mrs t jones pieced by mrs myers and 1 by mrs wagg both ladies aged 87 years others given by mrs
