evening all services were greatly enjoyed and well attended the public auction sale on the farm of mr j h heise last friday afternoon did not draw as large a crowd as we have seen at some slm ilar sales a reason attributed to the fact that the fine herd of registered cattle were all jerseys and therefore not the breed in demand despite the fact the finest cow sold to glen alden farms in markham for 107- 50 and her calf for i500 to peter stcckley in the lower bracket we mention that one cow 15 years old brought 36 and her young calf sold to henry miller of peactis for 1800 reuben pearce of markham east paid 6750 for a heifer while ken walker for another fine ani mal gave 76 while another 2-year- old realized 75 registered sheep brought 800 neighbors were heard to pass many favorable comments on the fine condition of mr helses stock and stables all through the more or less failure of the late potato crop is fully exempli fied on the farm of roy brllllnger because of his extensive
