11th to victoria square service be ing held in the united church there and interment in the adjoining cemetery the rev mr mckay pastor of the church conducted the service pall bearers were messrs james carver arthur frisby george mccron toronto james dennie and joseph smith gormley and norman carver of flint mich and bruce winterstein a number of relatives and old friends gathered at the church to pay their last respects to one who had spent his youth in this district the late james carver in his 74th year was a son of the late robert carver and julia anne mckenzie he was born on the northwest corner of what is known as old gormley but when a small lad moved with his parents to victoria square while still a young man he left the old home and spent many years in the united states
