investigation of oil is developing while in the sharon district just northeast of newmarket a fine prospect has been uncovered according to the promoters another local interest in oil lies in a hospital as a result of this accident at ringwood historic farm near markham is sold the sale is reported this week of braeside park farm in markham township to dr o l stanton who flew down from yellowknife last week for the purpose of purchasing a farm on securing the property dr stanton and his wife returned to yellowknife by plane the vendors of the farm are j grant milne and miss estelle milne the farm which consists of some 95 acres is located within a halfmile of markham the river rouge flows along its southern edge almost its full length on the farm the river is widened into a large pond backed by a concrete dam built in 1911 by a w milne who also was its inventor this is said to be the first steel and concrete arc dam ever built this property was purchased in 1824 by the late peter milne and has been the home of three milne generations for 116 years the large oldfashioned brick residence is now an archi tectural curiosity it has a large- cellar kitchen where all cook
