stillwater alinnesota usa are spending a couple of weeks with air tennysonns moth er a very impressive sermon was preached at peachs church on sun day morning it ibeing rev john aicewens last service on this cir cuit he did not dwell upon the subject of farewell but brought to a close his sermons covering the last seven years his scripture read ing was from the 5th chapter of deuteronomy and his sermon was based on the ten commandments the first four our religious obliga tions as christians to our god and the last six our social obligations to our fellow man we wish irev air aicewen and his choir and ypu held a farewell party for one of our most popular girls miss alargaret stibbard on the lawn at the home of the scribe on tuesday evening of this week we are very sorry to lose alarg from our dis trict as she was very prominent in all the activities of the community especially the ypu where she was secretary for two years an efficient memher of the choir and a very active member of our ball team for the past three years she is taking up a position at agincourt her tometown on behalf of the choir and the ypu she was pre sented with a lovely parker pen and pencil set alarg is very well known since coming here as perfect stranger but what is our loss is agincourts gain the evening was spent in games etc and came to a close with lunch 4th line uxbridge mr and airs arthur silver
