the ontario agricultural college perhaps ken got some new pointers on farming the girls had another base ball practice last tuesday even ing the boys team challenged us to a game when we get some more practice shall we accept some of the crowd from our town attended the wedding of mr lome byer and miss joyce cleare at glasgow last satur day afternoon we wish the newlyweds every happiness for the are glad to report percy hutchinson is able to be home mr and mrs ross armitage spent sunday at their summer cottage lake simcoe mr and mrs potter and family called on friends or sat urday mrs albert lloyd was a supper guest at the home of mr and mrs r chapman last week mr and mrs j hope attend ed the attwell ridley wed ding in uxbridge on saturday miss attwell being a cousin of mrs hope our junior teacher miss mcewen has accepted a posi tion in toronto and will be leav ing us the last of june mrs howard mcclure enter tained the following ladies to tea on wednesday mrs j lundy w hall j reid l lun- dy r chapman c brandon and miss alice hall a deep gloom was cast over our community on wednesday when a life long resident of pine orchard nelson widdifield died although in his 79th year he enjoyed fairly good health until recently his quiet manner won him many friends and he will be greatly missed by young and old in the commun ity he is survived by two daughters minnie and aleta at home three sons walter in timmins wilbert and collin of newmarket the funeral was held on saturday with inter ment in pine orchard cemetery our sympathy is extended to the sorrowing family ballantrae delighted to own one of our farmers thomas bingham living on the first farm west of the g o wright corner was rushed to the gen eral hospital suffering from appendicitis the attack was so sudden that g o wright i-ush- ed him down during sunday night a man named burchell living close to robert windsors house cut a blood vessel in his hand on saturday and was pick ed by stovers bakery truck and
