home has been with her niece and husband mr and mrs jos d winterstein bloomington where in spite of much asthmetic distress which she has endured with great christian fortitude since young womanhood has much appreci ated the fellowship of relatives and friends and in her stronger periods of health enjoyed short trips drinking in the beauties of nature and visit with friends only last fall she managed to take a trip to burlington to vis it her niece mrs rev james chapman and then to niagara falls and this pleasure was re flected upon when shut in dur ing the cold winter months much of her time during these months though mostly confined to her bed was spent in reading and giving out choice bits to those caring for har she was converted at an early age under the influence of elder tattons evangelistic preaching and later baptized it can be truly said of her for me to live is christ and to die is gain for hers was a life of service for the master she so much loved ever jesus christ her fine christian character has influenced many young people through her work in sun day school teaching over a period of forty years and also in christian endeavour work in which she had a keen inter est and not a few testify to the determining influence she had upon them for christian ser vice the subject of this sketch had a remarkably clear memory and cottage and car burned at lake a
