richardson proved a pleasing and lilting setting for the annual picnic of the toronto old boys and girls association of stouffville perfect weather pre vailed for the occasion last wednesday when tho spacious and beautiful grounds wero alive with so called oldtimers each with a wealth of information about the old town thus all lived in the spirit of other days as they picnicked together because of its historic setting and connection with the early lifo of stouffville this captivating farm lent enchantment to the occasion it was on the corner of this property at main street and 10th concession where the villagors met for public celebration long years ago and here we believe was tho spot where the declaration was read to tho villagers when tho place became in corporated over half a century ago then too the brown family wero prominent people in tho early lifo of stouffville and not a few visitors were entertained there were several brown families but all guests stopped at tho homo place where the picnic took place it was fitting too that mrs wil- mot brown should attend the picnic with her son dr richardson here she spent her girlhood days then to add additional interest there was present mrs browns brotherinlaw a o brown of guelph who left here 40 years ago he is living re tired but had been a very active man and still looks good for many more years there were four generations
