ghter mrs g a brooks of toronto a trained nurse arrived here six or seven weeks ago and has been look ing after her since the late mrs king was born in devonshire england 70 years ago and came from there to barrie ont where she was married at the age at 24 to egerton w king publisher of the barrie gazette when he died nine years later leaving her with four little children she opened up in the store business for hexself and succeeded by her energy and per severance in raising and educating her children to be a credit to both her and themselves since her son came here 10 years ago with the ex ception of short visits to other child ren she has lived here practically all the time and has made hosts of friends who sincerely mourn her loss and sympathize with her children in their great loss she leaves two sons and two dau ghters the daughter who was un able to be present was mrs a e stewart of saskatoon she is also survived by one sister mrs m cook of stouffville and three brothers w b sanders of stouffville h p of allandale and t p of california at the deceaseds own request in terment was made in okotoks with a special steel outer box so that if it is desired at some future long suffer ings he also told of her early trou ble and how bravely she had met them when left a widow at the age of 33 she had gone to work and succeeded in raising four small child ren to manhood
