the tribune i find it is time i was mail ing you a remittance to cover my subset iption for another year and therefore have pleasure in enclosing a renewal for 1927 i must say 1 look forward each week to receiving the tribune as it is just like receiving a weekly letter from the old home hi stouffviiie it is now nearly seven years since i visited your town f believe the time to give bouquets is while people are living and i wish to say that since the irishman assumed control of the stouffviiie tribune it has been a live periodical full of pep and worth whilejeadiug when i wrote you a year ago i mentioned that prosperity was re turning to the west and the good times have been getting much better as time progrpsses for the past two years the- agriculturists have been realizing good returns ou their products and as this is an agricul tural country you will readily under stand tlrat when the farmers are prosperous the merchants and man ufacturers are prosperous to an equal degree the western mii- facturing company ltd with which i am identified is sharing in the good times we are operating ten hours each day and over time three nights each week we are employ ing over one the way of a little recreation tills summer mrs graham marjorie graham and myself took a motor trip taking in the stampede at cal gary alta banff lake louise and down the windermere trail to cran- brookbc crossing over the line to kallispel montana shipping our car over the american rockies to glazier park montana and return ing via caidston alta we had a wonderful trip through the cana dian rockies and experienced the novelty of going through a forest flra on the windermere trail we were one hour ahead of a car with six people four of whom were burn ed to death that was a very close call time and space prevent me from going into minute details of our trip a person cannot anticipate the beauty of the mountains without seeing them and after driving over the mountain roads i feel i am fully qualified to drive a car our only mishap was one tire puncture and we had it so arranged that it hap pened in front of a garage in fort steele bc i hope some time to again pay your town a visit
