times dur ing the- week and was about his cottage on the day of his death about six oclock in the evening while lying in the hammock he be came quite ill and passed away within a couple of hours john c paxton was born in king township and is the first death in a family of eleven children of which he was the eldest he mar ried a king township girl a daugh ter of mr- amos lloyd of aurora who is 94 years old for many years mr paxton conducted the srist and flour mill at siloam and during the war purchased gould bro3 milling business in uxbridge the mill later being burned down during the past year mr and mrs paxton lived in claremont and mr paxton was in stouffville a great deal besides his wife he is sur vived by one son and three grown up daughters the funeral on mon day took place to
