notice will appear in our next issue mrs simeon stouffer one of the fine old mothers who witnessed the transition of this part of ontario from virgin forest to its present high state of cultivation passed peace fully to the great beyond at the- home of her daughter mrs george collard on sunday morning april 5th 1925 at the advanced age of 82 years the late mrs stouffer was a daughter of thos l webb a pioneer resident of king township she being of a family of nin chil dren mrs stouffer was born at kettleby where she was married 57 years ago thus entering on a long arid happy wedlock the duration of which fortune is pleased to favor but few immediately settling on mr stouffers farm just north of the can adian national station it stouffville they lived all these years en the farm about fifteen years ago mr stouffer sold the farm to d h rusnell reserving a lot for a home to which they retired the late mrsstouffer was a woman kindly disposed cheerful and of a most ambitious disposition she was full of zeal and energy for the wel fare of her children and it must have been her great joy to witness their splendid progress as they step ped out into life well versed and mindful of the great essentials besides her husband she is sur vived by a family of three daughters and one son namely mrs geo col lard of stouffville mrs ernest dougherty of denver col and mrs perkins also of colorado who is one of the few women to be called to the american bar and having practised as a solicitor an only son fred is living in puyallup washington owing to circumstances the son and daughters from a distance were un able to attend the funeral interment took place on tuesday at stouffville cemetery following divine service at the home of mrs collard led by rev geo e coul
