her clothes on fire no one was present who was large enough to render any assistance she ran out of doors but as the day was windy the lire only burned the harder she ran some distance on the sidewalk and was not discovered by any one who could render assistance until her clothing was almost entirely consumed she was immediately tak en home and all was done for her that could be but it was of no avail at eleven oclock the same evening death put forth his hand and put an end to hor sufferings mr and mrs hayes have the deepest sympathy of the whole village in this very sad bereave ment obituary robert stapleton the subject f this brief sketch was a native of england being born in devonshire in 1s22 he removed to canada in 1s33 a d in company with his father and settled on the sth concession
