She has also been involved in 40 vol- unteer-related activities, as ‘well as 45 opening ceremonies and public relations events And that doesn't take into account the six or seven unplanned meetings that develop on a daily basis. Reading the mounds of paperwork she receives is rele- gated to whatever free time is left between the three to ï¬ve nights a week and many weekends that she is out in the community. Days often start with a 7:30 am. meeting and end with one late in the evening. As a former councillor. Mrs. Sherban came to the mayor's ofï¬ce well aware of the commitment required. However, the time needed to educate a council with ï¬ve new members has been a surprise. She would love to initiate 3 Communities in Bloom program during her term as mayor and has her eyes on property at Musselman's Lake that would make a great park area.
