Since lune 2001. the Museum's board members, volunteers and staff have been very active organizing fundraising events and direct appeals to Museum members and patrons; as well as campaigning local businesses and community organizations in order to reach our fundraising goal of $50,000 by June 2003. Our fundraislng success will be doubled by a matching Heritage Challenge Fund Over two years ago I walked up to get the mail and there was a notice on the box for someone to walk a friendly golden retriever. I contacted the number not realizing how it would change my life and the lives of-so many other people. This is how I met Lea and her owner Heather McLean. Once you have known these two women you definitely know what love and trust is all about! To the Editor: I believe that every so often in life things are iust meant to happen. During this time Lea about four weeks I quickly realized what a wonderful lady I had been fortunate enough to meet. I asked Heather if I could enroll Lea in the St. John's Dog Therapy Program. which she passed with flying colours.
