Starting Jan. 3, there will be one new morning and one new afternoon GO train trip from Monday to Friday, adding 10 new trips per week along the Stouffville GO line. "Our government has been steadfastly focused on delivering better transit options that will help get Ontario moving," said Transportation Minister Steven Del Duca. "Adding new rushhour train service on the Stouffville GO line is proof that we are committed to making your daily commute faster and more convenient than ever before." The new morning train will depart from Lincolnville GO Station at 8:11 a.m. and arrive at Union Station at 9:30 a.m. The new afternoon trip will depart Union Station at 5:45 p.m. and arrive at Lincolnville at 7:02 p.m. "With this expanded service, the people of Whitchurch-Stouffville, Markham and Toronto will have more flexibility in their dayto-day lives," said Metrolinx president and CEO Bruce McCuaig. "Every new trip we run gives thousands of people another reason to take transit, ultimately making this a more connected and prosperous region."
