Aug. 10, York Regional Police criminal investigators and members of the major fraud unit arrested the man in connection with a $2 million investment fraud. Officers began investigating in April 2015. Between 2002 and 2014, the accused acted as a financial advisor and ran a mortgage-based investment scheme.
