Stouffville man victim of single-vehicle fatal crash A young Stouffville man has died after a single-vehicle crash on the morning of Saturday, April 16 and another Stouffville man was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries, York Regional Police say. Both men, 20, were found by police attending a collision at 5:30 a.m. on Reesor Road north of Major Mackenzie Drive East. A grey Lincoln sedan had struck a hydro pole and ended up in a ditch. One man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the other was taken to the hospital. He has since been released. Hydro lines were temporarily down and roads in the area were closed for several hours. Powerstream reported 385 customers were without power as a result of the incident. All outages were restored promptly. The investigation is ongoing.
