Recycling, Green Bin and Waste Collection Services: Planning for the Future The waste collection program underwent a major change in 2007 with the introduction of the Green bin program for collection of organic waste and a long term (10 year) collection contract. The three stream collection system (Green bin, blue box recycling and garbage) has been very successful and has allowed the Town to divert more that 67% of the waste away from disposal in landfills and incinerators. The Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville is seeking feedback on its garbage and recycling curbside collection service. This survey will help us to improve the service to better meet your needs for the next 8 to 10 years. Take the survey now: http://www.townofws.ca/wastecollectionsurvey The Survey will be available until Monday January 18, 2016. Results of the survey and all comments will be presented to Town Council.
